Why We Celebrate Children's Day

Why We Celebrate Children's Day      Children's Day is a special day just for kids. It is celebrated all over the world to show that children are important. In many countries, it is a day for fun, games, and gifts. But it means much more than that.      First, Children's Day is a reminder. It reminds adults, parents, and teachers that every child has rights. Every child deserves to be safe, to go to school, to be healthy, and to be treated fairly. This day helps us remember to protect all children and give them a good life.      Second, it is a day of celebration. In schools, children enjoy parties, songs, and dances. They play games and eat treats. The normal school work stops for the day. This fun is a way to honor children and show them they are loved. It is a day where their happiness is the most important thing.      Finally, Children's Day is about listening. It is a day to pay attention to what children think and feel. T...

poem on happy child

 1. A giggle like a sudden, sunlit stream, A waking soul from some bright, perfect dream. Her world is built of wonder and of "why," A boundless kingdom under any sky. A cake of mud, a stick becomes a sword, A treasure found, a brightly-feathered bird. Each day a page in a brand-new, untold book, With that enchanted, wide-eyed, happy look. No shadow of tomorrow brings her fear, She is the sovereign of the present, here. This joy, a small and resilient spark, That lights the corners of the coming dark.

poem on peace

 1. It is the hollow left where wind has been, A field absolved of thunder, cool and green. It is the weightlessness of opened hands, The patient thread that mends the torn-out lands. It is the space between the clock's two ticks, The melting of the heart's most stubborn bricks. A language spoken when all words have ceased, A flag that is no longer for the east or west. It is the truce between the breath and lung, A simple, ancient song that's always sung. Not in a fortress, but a bridge's span, The peace that lives within a single man.
