- Story of The Golden Touch
Once upon a time, there was a King who had a son named Midas. Midas was very kind and generous, and he was loved by everyone in the kingdom. One day, the King decided to reward Midas with a special gift that would give him the power to turn anything he touched into gold.
Midas was overjoyed at the gift and began to test it out. He touched a tree, and it turned to gold. He touched a rock, and it turned to gold. He touched an animal and it, too, turned to gold. Midas was delighted with his newfound power, but soon realized that he may have been too hasty in his joy.
He quickly realized that he could not turn food or water into gold and if he touched any living creature, including himself, it would cause them great harm. Midas was now stuck in a difficult situation and was unsure of what to do.
In a desperate attempt to reverse the effects of his Golden Touch, Midas sought out the help of a wise man. The wise man told him that he must make an offering to the gods and pray for forgiveness. Midas did as he was told and the gods granted him the power to undo what he had done.
Midas was relieved and thanked the gods for their kindness. He returned to his kingdom and was able to restore all that he had turned to gold. From then on, Midas was careful with his gifts and taught others the importance of being wise with their powers.
